Analytics as a Service

PowerApps is the first analytical engine of the web (Analytics as a  Service/OLAP 2.0) developed by Panorama Software. PowerApps has been designed to be an extremely efficient OLAP-based system with a focus on automating, managing and creating OLAP cubes on relational data. The product is designed to enable thousands of concurrent users to analyze data that comes from any tabular source. Panorama Analytics for Google Spreadsheets is the first product to use the PowerApps engine.

PowerApps has been designed to run on hundreds of machines with the goal of making it easy to add more machines to the system, when required, while automatically taking advantage of those resources without reconfiguration.  While designed initially to be Panorama's engine for the analytical solution for Google, PowerApps is designed to soon become the ultimate analytical engine of the web in a Software as a Service model.  Thus, developers and ISVs can extend their applications and build analytical solutions using a powerful SaaS based analytical engine. This functionality will be made available by the end of 2010 with sample applications and code that showcase the usage of the platform.
